Monkeys steal food from tourist's tent in Thailand
This is the shocking moment a group of monkeys was spotted stealing food from a tourist's tent in Thailand.
A nearby camper saw five mischievous macaques sneaking into the camouflage-coloured shelter pitched next to a tree at Khao Yai National Park in Nakhon Ratchasima.
The concerned woman screamed to alert the owner of the makeshift accommodation on July 5.
Footage shows one of the primates inside the shelter with its legs dangling outside while the rest kept watch.
Moments later, another macaque entered to snatch a snack wrapped in plastic, as the frantic campsite visitor continued to alert the holidaymaker.
The owner then rushed over and struck two metal rods, making a loud noise that caused the startled creatures to scatter back into the forest from the campsite.
Monkeys are common in the region and are known to snatch food and even break into homes in search of meals.
