Houston, United States - August 19, 2025 A man was arrested after crashing his drone, carrying narcotics, into a home on the 18500 block of Hannah Michaela Lane on August 19, 2025. Homeowners contacted deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office after the man appeared at their front door, attempting to get the drone back. Authorities recovered the drone along with multiple bags of narcotics, including methamphetamine and fentanyl. The suspect’s vehicle, driven by 49-year-old Jason Brooks, was unregistered and missing a proper tag. Brooks was taken into custody and faces multiple charges, including operating an unregistered vehicle, attaching a tag not assigned, driving while license canceled, suspended, or revoked, possession of controlled substances with intent to sell or deliver (two counts), possession of controlled substances, and an out-of-county warrant for failing to appear. The case highlights the dangers of using drones for illegal purposes and the swift action of law enforcement to protect the public.
