This is the shocking moment a bouncy castle carrying children was lifted and thrown into the air by strong winds in Russia.

Footage captured the inflatable play area being blown off the ground and flipping over on Letchikov Street in Ufa, Bashkortostan, on August 27.

The regional office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) confirmed that at least four youngsters were injured in the incident.

A five-year-old girl was reported to be in critical condition and was admitted to intensive care at City Hospital No. 17.

The Investigative Committee has launched a criminal investigation. Preliminary reports indicate that the trampoline had been set up without proper authorisation, which may have contributed to the incident.
