7. MOTHER OF AL-HANEDI CARRYING BODY OF DECEASED CHILD (TWO SHOTS) GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - SEPT. 1, 2025: 4-year-old Palestinian Hala al-Hanedi, who lived in Rafah city, died at Nasser Hospital in Gaza Strip while receiving treatment for scleroderma, a condition causing skin hardening.

Her health worsened over months due to malnutrition, lack of medication, and blockade preventing travel abroad for medical care.

Hospital held a funeral ceremony for al-Hanedi, whose relatives expressed deep sadness over her death.

Israel has killed over 63,500 Palestinians in Gaza since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
