US: Air Force Pilot POV Captures Dramatic Firefighting Over Wildfires
United States - September 01, 2025 Northern California and Oregon – On Sept. 1, 2025, a U.S. Air Force C-130 aircraft from the 302d Airlift Wing, callsign MAFFS 5, flew toward a wildfire to conduct an aerial firefighting mission. The crew deployed fire retardant over wildfires burning across Northern California and Oregon in an effort to slow the spread of the flames. Video filmed from the pilot’s cabin point of view shows the approach toward the fires, with cockpit instruments visible as smoke and flames can be seen below.
