China: China-donated quake relief supplies arrive in Afghanistan
The first shipment of emergency humanitarian relief supplies provided by the Chinese government to Afghanistan arrived in its capital Kabul on Sunday. The relief supplies, comprising primarily tents and blankets, were transported by two Y-20 transport aircraft of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force. China will deliver more relief supplies to Kabul in the coming days. A 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan on Aug. 31, killing 2,205 people and injuring 3,640 others, according to the latest report from the Afghan Red Crescent Society. Rescue operations remain underway amid reports that many people are still trapped beneath the rubble of collapsed homes, the organization said. Shotlist: China - Sept 7, 2025: 1.
