The disaster occurred following heavy rainfall around 11:15 p.m. local time, inundating multiple areas across the regency.
According to preliminary data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), 103 households with around 200 people were affected in Jembrana, while 85 residents were evacuated to temporary shelters, including village halls and mosques.
Flooding also impacted other districts in Bali Province, including Klungkung, Gianyar, Tabanan, and Denpasar City. In Klungkung Regency, 104 households with around 400 people were affected, and data collection for other areas is ongoing.
BNPB officials warned that Bali remains at risk of moderate to heavy rainfall and strong winds until 4:00 p.m. local time Wednesday, Sept. 10, urging residents to stay vigilant and monitor official weather updates.
