Tourist stunned by sudden sea overflow onto shore
A tourist was stunned by a sudden sea overflow onto the shore in Turkey.
Footage captured by Ajda Ender shows seawater surging onto the land where holidaymakers were staying and sunbathing, forcing some to move their belongings to higher ground.
Several travellers appeared unfazed, continuing to relax and enjoy the sun despite the flooded shoreline in Cunda, Ayvalik. Some even stayed swimming nearby.
The cause of the sudden sea overflow on July 30 was unclear, but coastal flooding can sometimes be triggered by strong winds, changes in atmospheric pressure, or unusual tidal activity.
