Nurses rush to protect babies during earthquake in India
This is the dramatic moment nurses protected babies as a magnitude 5.8 earthquake shook a hospital in India.
CCTV footage shows the pair of women rushing to shield the newborns in the neonatal ICU of the Aditya Nursing Home in Assam on Sunday.
The tremor rattled the radiant warmers and other equipment in the room as the lights soon flickered out. When the emergency power went on, both nurses were seen calmly remaining at their stations.
The National Centre for Seismology said the magnitude 5.8 quake struck Udalguri, Assam, at 4:41 pm local time.
It was recorded at a depth of 5.8 kilometres (3.6 miles).
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said disaster management teams were deployed to assess the extent of the damage caused by the quake.
