7. VARIOUS OF OVERCROWDED TENT CAMP GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - SEP. 16: On Tuesday, Sep. 16, thousands of Palestinians fled south to Deir al-Balah as Israeli forces intensified their offensive around Gaza City under an occupation plan.

Airstrikes hit Zeitoun, Sheikh Radwan, Sabra, and the Jabalia area, driving families from their homes.

Many displaced residents, carrying only a few belongings, sought refuge in makeshift shelters in Deir al-Balah, adding to the overcrowded tent camps already stretched beyond capacity.

Local sources said more than one million people remain trapped in northern Gaza, where relentless bombardment and siege have left communities without shelter, food, or basic supplies.

At least 64,964 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 2023, as the death toll from hunger climbed to 428, including 146 children, the Health Ministry said Tuesday.

Israel has sealed Gaza’s crossings since March 2, preventing food and aid trucks from entering despite hundreds waiting at the border. The move has worsened famine conditions, leaving civilians without basic necessities.

The Israeli army resumed attacks on March 18, breaking a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal, and has since killed more than 12,400 people and injured over 53,000 others.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice.
