American 'sex teacher' deported from Bali over x-rated classes for couples at luxury villa
An American sex teacher was deported from Bali for holding explicit workshops.
Self-proclaimed 'sexpert' Jennelle Raynette Gordon, 44, was arrested by immigration officers who were alerted to her five-day 'intimacy retreat' for couples on the popular Indonesian island.
Police detained the mother-of-one as she was flying to Jakarta through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport on September 16. She was deported two days later.
Authorities said the arrest followed reports of Jennelle's x-rated activities at a villa in Seminyak in southern Bali.
They said the sex teacher arrived in Indonesia on September 4, but was allegedly found to have abused her stay permit by hosting a paid 'Intimacy Mastery Retreat' where she offered clients Kama Sutra lessons and relationship coaching.
Officials in the strict Islamic country, where adult material is illegal, were further outraged when they reportedly also found sex toys at the villa.
Winarko, Head of the Ngurah Rai Class I Special Immigration Office, said: 'Every foreigner in Indonesia must comply with immigration regulations and respect applicable legal norms. We will take firm action against anyone who abuses their stay permit.'
Jennelle had previously publicised the retreat on her social media channels. The price was 6,997 USD for a five day course.
Authorities said Jennelle was deported and given a travel ban for violating Article 75(1) of Law Number 6 of 2011 for visa misuse by conducting unauthorised commercial activities.
Winarko added she was flown out of Indonesia with Taiwanese flag carrier EVA Air on flight to Los Angeles.
Jennelle, from California, has previously spoken publicly about how she was trafficked for sex when she was just 19 years old before she escaped her abusers by faking her own death.
She claimed she fled to Thailand and learned 'tantric therapy' to heal from 10 years of sexual exploitation.
She has since established a non-profit called 'Beyond Freedom' to help trafficking survivors, while also providing sex and intimacy coaching for customers.
Speaking to The Daily Titan, the student newspaper of California State University, Fullerton, Jennelle said: 'I became obsessed with holistic healing methodology because that's how I healed and so, coming full circle, I really wanted to be able to provide the same types of healing that I experienced for other survivors.'
