Fairview Heights, United States - September 24, 2025 Authorities released body camera footage showing the moment a driver intentionally crashed into a police SUV during a traffic stop in Fairview Heights. Keajion L. Jennings, 28, faces charges of criminal damage to government property and three counts of aggravated battery. The video begins with an officer performing a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired tags. As the officer approached the passenger window, another car slammed into the back of the police SUV, pushing it into the stopped vehicle. Jennings immediately got out of his car, saying, "Hey, what happened?" The officer replied, "You tell me," to which Jennings calmly said, "I need a new car." The officer instructed Jennings to move off the road and sit down while backup was called. When asked what happened, Jennings admitted, "I did that on purpose, sir," explaining he had been drinking and had taken weed pills. When asked why he crashed into the SUV, he said simply, "I'm bored." Once backup arrived, Jennings told officers, "I hate cops, man." The two people in the vehicle initially stopped for expired tags were unhurt and received a warning. Jennings is currently being held at the St. Clair County Jail.
