Elon Musk Settles $128 Million Lawsuit with Former Twitter Executives. Elon Musk has agreed to settle a $128 million lawsuit with four former Twitter executives who accused him of refusing to pay their severance after taking over the company in 2022. The plaintiffs — former CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, legal chief Vijaya Gadde, and general counsel Sean Edgett — say they were fired "without cause" and denied the compensation promised in their contracts. According to court filings, the parties have reached a settlement, though the terms have not been made public. This lawsuit is part of a broader legal battle over severance payments after Musk's $44 billion Twitter takeover, during which he axed more than half the staff. Earlier this year, Musk and X also agreed to resolve a $500 million claim from thousands of laid-off employees. The executives argue Musk falsely accused them of misconduct because he was frustrated at being forced to close the deal.
