Los Angeles, United States - October 28, 2025 10/27/2025 11:00 pm GMT-0500 ONTARIO, Calif. – Los Angeles police officers in the San Fernando Valley initiated a pursuit of a white Kia SUV Monday evening around 9:30 p.m. The driver was suspected of homicide. The suspect led police on a chase through the San Fernando Valley and continued on the 5 Freeway into East Los Angeles, where he transitioned to the 60 East. During much of the pursuit, the suspect was driving on three tires. Traveling at approximately 60 mph, the driver headed toward the Ontario area. At one point, California Highway Patrol officers deployed a spike strip, successfully disabling the vehicle. The chase concluded at a dead end near the intersection of Brookside Drive and Whispering Lakes Court, where CHP officers boxed the suspect in. Although he initially refused to exit the vehicle, he eventually complied but remained non-compliant. To subdue the suspect, officers deployed less-lethal munitions, striking him in the leg. He was then taken into custody. American Medical Response was requested, and paramedics transported the suspect to a medical facility for treatment of his injuries. The Los Angeles Police Department is handling the ongoing investigation.
