Los Angeles, United States - November 17, 2025 11/16/2025 11:10 pm GMT-0800 LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles Police Department's Newton Division officers initiated a pursuit of a stolen blue Toyota Prius in South Los Angeles. During the pursuit, one officer was involved in a crash with a civilian vehicle at the intersection of Slauson and Western. No injuries were reported, and the suspect continued to flee. The chase entered the freeway, where the California Highway Patrol took over. The suspect traveled to the Santa Monica area before returning to Los Angeles, driving erratically and even going the wrong way on city streets. Due to the rainy conditions in the area, officers decided to terminate the pursuit. The suspect was last seen heading north on Figueroa from Adams.
