Los Angeles, United States - October 31, 2025 10/31/2025 12:09 am GMT-0700 SUN VALLEY, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A hit-and-run traffic collision left one person critically injured just after midnight on Halloween on the northbound 5 Freeway near Glenoaks Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Toyota sedan was struck by a blue pickup truck around 12:10 a.m. The pickup truck fled the scene following the impact, which scattered debris across the roadway and caused major damage to the victim's vehicle. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics performed CPR on the driver of the Toyota sedan at the scene. CHP Officer Gomez described the injuries as major, but said paramedics were able to revive the patient before transport. Three lanes remained closed as investigators documented the scene and tow crews worked to clear the wreckage. The suspect vehicle has not been located and is described as a blue pickup truck. CHP is investigating the incident as a felony hit-and-run. Anyone who witnessed the crash or saw a vehicle fleeing the area around that time is urged to contact the CHP Altadena Area office.
