China: Global community for young sinologists established in Beijing
A global community for young sinologists was inaugurated on Saturday at the ongoing 2025 World Chinese Language Conference in Beijing, providing a prestigious platform for individuals passionate about China and the study of the Chinese language. The 2025 World Chinese Language Conference opened in Beijing on Friday, attracting nearly 2,000 participants, including educators, university leaders, and diplomats from over 160 countries and regions. The conference featured a diverse range of activities focusing on Chinese language education and the promotion of Chinese culture. During the session on "Cross-Civilization Dialogue and the Cultivation of Young Scholars in China Studies," the Center for Languages Education and Cooperation under China's Ministry of Education announced the establishment of a global community for young sinologists, offering young scholars from various countries participating in the China Studies Program a platform to regularly meet to discuss Chinese language learning, the study of Chinese culture, and the mutual understanding of civilizations. Launched by the Center for Languages Education and Cooperation, the China Studies Program is dedicated to providing young scholars studying China overseas with opportunities and support for doctoral studies in China.
