Lehigh Acres, United States - October 28, 2025 Deputy Curtis Redford responded to a home on October 28 after receiving a report that a 1 year old child was not breathing. He arrived within minutes and immediately began performing CPR on the child, Catalina. By the time EMS reached the scene, Catalina had started breathing on her own due to Deputy Redford’s actions. She was transported to the hospital, where doctors diagnosed a febrile seizure, a sudden medical episode caused by a fever. The family has thanked Deputy Redford for his efforts and hopes to raise awareness among first time parents about this type of medical event.
