Climate activists unfurl banner over railway station in Italy
This is the dramatic moment a group of climate activists unfurled a banner over a railway station in Turin, Italy.
Footage shows the protesters climbing onto the station roof, wearing harnesses and helmets, before lowering the banner across the glass facade above the main entrance of Porta Susa station on November 15.
The demonstrators hung the large banner, covering a prominent advertisement for the ATP Finals currently taking place in the city.
The banner read 'COP 2025, 1.5°C delay', referencing the UN climate change conference in Brazil.
On the sidewalk below, a small group of supporters engaged with passersby, handing out leaflets and explaining the protest.
The activists said they were demanding urgent changes to climate policies and aimed to make the most of the heightened public attention in Turin during the ATP Finals.
Followers of the climate agenda have resorted to increasingly aggressive public attacks in recent years - often using violence and intimidation to cause chaos on roads, at events and in art galleries.
The Oxford Languages dictionary defines a terrorist as 'a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims'.
