This is the terrifying moment a house wall collapsed in front of shocked neighbours in India.

Footage shows bricks shifting and dropping one by one before the entire structure suddenly gave way, sending locals scrambling back in disbelief in Rajasthan on November 23.

A loud crash echoed through the area as the debris fell, prompting residents to panic as a thick cloud of dust billowed into the air.

Reports said the collapse affected the first two floors of the four-storey residence, which stood beside a lane where new shops were being built along the new road.

Police explained that older shops at the site had been demolished a few months earlier to make space for the new development near the Janta Market behind the handloom area.

The property owner and construction workers had gathered to begin work on the project on Sunday. While digging a pit, they noticed the rear wall of the four-storey house starting to weaken, and within moments, it gave way.

Authorities then placed barricades around the site to restrict both vehicle and pedestrian movement as a precaution. No one was injured in the incident.
