The footage shows the chaotic aftermath of a crash at a Japanese intersection. A black sedan appears to speed through a red light and collides with a white van, triggering a multi-vehicle pileup. Luckily, no injuries are visible in the video.

The dashcam footage was posted by the driver of the van — his wife and daughter filmed the scene shortly after the impact. Their post has already prompted media interest: TBS TV has reached out for coverage, and a London-based agency is in discussions to secure broadcast rights for use in traffic safety segments.

This kind of accident highlights growing concern over Japan’s high-risk intersections. According to a recent nationwide analysis by the Japan Non-Life Insurance Association, more than half of all traffic accidents occur at or near intersections.
