Aid workers use excavator to cross hazardous floodwaters in Sumatra, Indonesia
On November 28, 2025, in Sumatra, Indonesia, @rahmat.hidayatnst.7 shared a dramatic video showing aid workers navigating a dangerously eroded flood zone. Severe soil erosion and fast-moving muddy water had cut through the area, making normal river crossings impossible. The flooding was caused by heavy rainfall and unstable ground, which worsened the hazardous conditions. To deliver relief goods to isolated residents, workers used the bucket of an excavator as a makeshift transport, carefully riding across the unstable riverbank. Despite the dangers, the team successfully crossed and continued their relief operations.
