He's a manager at a national-level "Little Giant" enterprise in Haikou, where he leads efforts in unmanned intelligent control development. Just to give you some background. "Little Giant" firms are the cream of the crop when it comes to China's "zhuan-jing-te-xin" (specialized, sophisticated, unique, and innovative) SMEs. They team up with the unmanned aerial vehicles to form an 'air-sea-underwater' network." The one we've just seen recently won the Gold Award in Product Design at the 2025 French Design Awards. [Voice_over] And the robot we're lowering into the water for testing took home the Gold Award for Product Design – Smart Technology at the 2024 MUSE Design Awards in the United States. [Voice_over] This isn't your average drone. With its high-strength yet lightweight design, it's built for long-endurance, heavy-load missions — whether it's mapping terrain, monitoring the environment, or even delivering packages, it's up to the task. [Voice_over] This "Little Giant" firm built its own cross-domain air-sea collaborative control system from scratch. It lets drones, unmanned boats, and underwater submersibles work in sync. Looking ahead, the company will tap Hainan's institutional innovations to grow in three key areas: smart manufacturing, tech commercialization, and global business.
