On October 2, 2025, in Yibin, located in southwestern China’s Sichuan province, at the Xingwen Stone Sea tourist area, a video captured a visitor preparing for a controlled bungee experience. Safety ropes were fixed to the person’s body by staff at the platform edge.

With workers guiding the harness, the tourist stepped off the high point and descended slowly toward the ground below. The rope stretched gradually, and the entire drop looked more like a steady lowering than a rapid fall.

The video shows the visitor reaching the bottom without sharp rebounds, creating a calmer version of bungee jumping. Chinese netizens described it as a “timid-style bungee” and said that even so, many of them would still not dare to try it.
