Phoenix, United States - January 03, 2026 01/02/2026 10:45 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz.– Around 10:45 p.m. Friday, the Phoenix Fire Department was dispatched to reports of a vehicle fire underground. Upon arrival, crews found a single-story apartment unit with a vehicle in the car park fully involved and spreading to the apartment unit. Crews established a water supply and began search-and-rescue efforts and a fire attack to prevent the fire from spreading into neighboring units. It is unclear how the fire started, and Phoenix fire investigators were on scene to determine the cause. At this time, there are no reported injuries to firefighters or residents, and it is unknown how many residents are displaced.
