In one of the city's agricultural machinery manufacturing plants, workers are preparing a batch of tractors to be delivered before January first. The company has been collaborating with local universities and research institutions to create next generation tractors. [Sound_bite] Yang Haiyan, R&D project manager, Jiamusi Jichi Tractor Manufacturing Co.,Ltd.: "We are currently developing a 400-horsepower hybrid, stepless transmission tractor, which features high efficiency, environmental friendliness, and intelligence, making it a heavy-duty piece of equipment suitable for demanding agricultural tasks." [Voice_over] Jiamusi City is the country's core manufacturing region for smart agricultural machinery. Home to 23 agriculture machinery enterprises with an annual business turnover of at least 2.8 million U.S. dollars, the city has a complete smart ag machinery industrial chain from key components to full machine manufacturing. Provincial officials explain how local farmers are benefiting from the advancements in agriculture machinery.
