US, Los Angeles: Upland Suspect in Armed Robbery Leads LAPD On Freeway Chase To San Bernardino County
Los Angeles, United States - January 06, 2026 01/06/2026 02:00 am GMT-0800 UPLAND, Calif. – Los Angeles police pursued a suspect involved in an armed robbery through multiple freeways Tuesday morning. The suspect led officers eastbound on the 210 Freeway into San Bernardino County. After exiting the freeway, the suspect drove westbound on Baseline Road in Rancho Cucamonga. Officers performed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver at West 16th Street, just east of Mountain Avenue in Upland, causing the suspect's vehicle to crash onto the sidewalk of a nearby residence. The suspect was apprehended at the scene and transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. A Los Angeles police officer was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries resulting from the crash.
