Los Angeles, United States - January 12, 2026 01/11/2026 10:00 pm GMT-0800 VERMONT KNOLLS, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles police officers and the fire department responded to a reported shooting in an alley near 81st Street and Vermont Avenue. Officers were informed that a male victim had been lying in the alley for over an hour. Upon arrival, officers found the male down and requested a supervisor to the scene. Fire department personnel declared the male victim deceased at the scene. It is believed that a dog was also shot and killed next to the victim. Officers blocked off the alley and began interviewing neighbors for information regarding the incident. No further information has been provided at the scene.
