Kind mechanics helped to release a kitten stuck under a car engine.

Prakasit was with colleagues working on a customer's car that was taken to their service centre in Ubon Ratchathani province, Thailand on June 9.

But before they could start the procedure, they heard soft cat cries from the Toyota car and found there was a furry creature under the engine near the wheel.

Footage shows the young mechanics searching for the kitten. They finally found it in the space under the engine near the wheel and easily freed the creature by unscrewing the cover.

Prakasit said: ‘The driver did not know there was a kitten under his car. We only found out when we lifted it up after hearing the sounds.'

The cat was unhurt and adopted by one of the mechanics.

Prakasit added: ‘The kitten was safe and now lives in its new home. I hope it grows up a longer and healthy life.'
