Minnesotans based in London, England, addressed the crowd gathered in Trafalgar Square on Monday evening (January 26) for the 'Solidarity with Minneapolis' rally organised by Stand Up To Racism.

One Minnesotan woman from St Paul told demonstrators 'when injustice happens on our doorstep, we take it personally, we take it to the streets, we take it to the world'. She also warned that 'what is happening in Minnesota can happen anywhere, including here in London'.

Her husband also spoke to the crowd, saying that Minneapolis was being targeted by the US government because the city has 'black and brown people in the streets with white folks all being one community' and 'that's what the fear is in Washington', adding 'you know what the people of Minnesota have said? F*** ICE!'
