This is the dramatic moment water poured through a hotel lobby ceiling before it partially collapsed in Oklahoma.

Footage shows water rushing from the overhead structure at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Norman, shortly before part of the ceiling gave way on Saturday.

Hotel guests said the flooding was caused by burst pipes.

Staff confirmed the incident was limited to the lobby and did not affect any guest rooms. No injuries were reported.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the leak and collapse.

The event comes as a winter storm has blanketed much of the US, causing widespread power outages and disrupting travel across the Northeast and South.

Local media reported that at least 29 people have been killed across the country due to the storm. Since Friday, more than 20,000 flights have been cancelled as a result of the freak weather.
