This is the hilarious moment a striker missed a sitter - then became trapped in the net when the goal fell on top of him.

The footage, captured by spectator Fahrul, shows the goalkeeper attempting to clear the ball during a school football match in West Java, Indonesia.

During the scramble, the keeper, Iqbal, accidentally tripped the opponent striker during the intense game on September 16.

The youngster, who had misjudged knocking the ball to the net, crashed into the mesh, causing the unsecured goal to topple over him.

He can be seen attempting to lift the goalpost from underneath, but due to its weight, he was pinned to the ground.

His classmates immediately rushed over to lift the goal back into place, while a group of girls sitting nearby burst into laughter.

Fahrul said: 'He was in a hurry because he wanted to attend the noon prayers, but he failed to score a goal. It was a memorable game, and they were so fun to watch.'

With no VAR in use, the keeper escaped conceding a penalty for the apparent foul on the striker.
