Visitors experience 1,000ft high ride that tilts over the edge of skyscraper
This is the moment visitors experienced a 1,000ft (300m) high ride that tilts over the edge of a skyscraper.
Sirinda Phiewkliang and Thanaporn Chatcharaporn visited the Mahanakhon Skywalk to test their head for heights in Bangkok, Thailand.
Footage shows the pair stepping onto the machine, which is rigged to the outside of the tower, and securing themselves against the strong cable mesh on January 23.
Without individual safety harnesses, they lie across the rope netting while the machine slowly tilts them to a 65-degree angle.
The view, should they be brave enough to open their eyes, stretches from the 78th floor of the building to the ground below, where cars look like miniatures on the busy streets.
Sirinda, seen in the video, said she was terrified to look down and could only manage two thumbs up in approval of the nerve-wracking experience.
She added: 'When they were tilting the machine, my heart just dropped. I felt like I was about to fall and I was so scared to even move, so I just clung onto the mesh.'
The attraction, called Mahanakhon Bangkok SkyRides I-Tilt, is on the 75th floor of the King Power Mahanakhon building. The exact height is 296 metres, or 971ft.
A screen also displays the heart rate of participants, with most people experiencing an increase in the rate due to the 'fight or flight' response.
A similar ride called TILT Chicago exists in Illinois, which is indoors and built over a transparent glass floor, unlike Bangkok's outdoor machine.
