This is the adorable moment a group of cats was seen huddling around a stove to keep warm during a spell of cool weather.

Natthicha Saengchan spotted 15 moggies cuddled in front of the coal-powered stove in her yard as temperatures dipped to 14 degrees Celsius in Khon Kaen, Thailand.

Footage shows the felines enjoying the warmth, while others slept on the ground on the morning of January 6.

A pet white dog was also seen joining the group, lounging comfortably alongside the kitties.

Natthicha said: 'I was surprised when I saw them all gathered together. They were so cute. It was a good thing we were heating water on the stove so that they could enjoy the heat.'

Cats are naturally drawn to warmth because their ancestors were desert-dwelling felines, and their high internal body temperature of around 39 degrees Celsius means they must seek external heat sources to conserve energy.
