Los Angeles, United States - January 27, 2026 01/27/2026 12:00 am GMT-0800 BURBANK, Calif. – Firefighters battled a garage fire at a single-family home in Burbank just after midnight. Crews were dispatched at 11:59 p.m. to the 1700 block of Winona Avenue, where they arrived to find heavy smoke coming from a single-story home with an attached garage. Firefighters initiated an aggressive fire attack and confirmed with the occupant that all residents were safely out and accounted for. As conditions progressed, the incident commander requested two additional engine companies and an additional ambulance. Firefighters reported a knockdown of the fire at approximately 12:18 a.m. No injuries were reported. The fire was largely contained to the attached garage. Glendale Fire Department assisted Burbank crews at the scene. Witnesses told KNN that a single male victim emerged from the home, appeared to be calm, and claimed to be uninjured.
