Boy falls through manhole but manages to climb out singlehanded
A seven-year-old boy accidentally fell into an open manhole but managed to climb out of it by himself in northwestern China.
In the CCTV video, captured in Zhongwei City in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region on February 15, a boy in a green coat pushes a bike in a residential community and passes it to another boy in a black coat.
After the black coated boy rides away, the boy in a green coat is distracted looking at him and does not notice the open manhole behind him, causing him to fall in.
When his friend notices the incident and runs to help him, the boy can be seen climbing out of the manhole by himself.
According to reports, the manhole was more than a metre deep with cables and water inside and the boy was only around 1.2 metres tall.
Fortunately, the boy only suffered scratches to his head and hands. It was unknown how the boy was able to climb out by himself.
