The last remaining Vulcan Bomber flew high over the Lake District, US on Saturday as part of its farewell tour. It took off from Carlisle, flew over Thirlmere and Windermere, and onto Manchester. (The footage is from it passing high over Thirlmere)

The distinctive delta-winged jet bomber was put back in the air last decade after a nationwide fundraising campaign, but this year finally reaches the end of its flying life.

The former RAF bomber, registered as XH558, is flying over every site in the UK that houses a complete Vulcan, Victor and Valiant.

It forms part of the "Salute to the V-Force" farewell tour, after which XH558 will retire.
