Firefighters freed a 10-year-old boy stuck in a tree in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Rizhao in Shandong Province on February 14 shows firefighters from the Haiqu Road Fire Rescue Station carefully assessing the situation and attempting to free the boy without damaging the tree.

Despite several attempts to remove the boy's leg from the tree branches, the firefighters were unable to free him.

Finally, they decided to use a pair of hydraulic spreaders to expand the gap between the branches and successfully free the boy from the tree.

Fortunately, the boy was not injured seriously.

2月14日下午17时41分，山东日照，东港区实验小学南侧金阳广场内，一名10岁的小男孩在攀爬一棵大树时，左腿不慎被卡在树杈内动弹不得。因为没有专业救援工具，现场的群众都束手无策。
接到报警后，海曲路消防救援站的消防员立即赶赴现场。
看到小男孩的左腿被紧紧卡在一棵直径近30公分的树杈内，3名消防救援人员仔细了解情况后，随即展开救援，决定在不损坏大树的前提下将小男孩救出。经过几次尝试后，小男孩的腿还是无法取出。
最终，消防员决定使用液压扩张器对树杈扩张后施救。为避免在施救过程中给小男孩造成心理恐慌，一名消防员抱住男孩不断安抚，另一名消防员用液压扩张器对树杈处进行扩张，增大救援空间，很快将男孩从大树的“怀抱”中解救出来，所幸男孩并无大碍。
