A wild chase between a leopard and a wild boar took an unexpected turn when both animals tumbled into a well.

The footage, which was filmed in northern India's Rajasthan, shows the big cat holding onto a wire that was laid down the hole. At a certain moment, the boar makes contact with the leopard, causing the latter to emit a menacing growl and swiftly drive it away.

Despite the heavy rainfall that drenched the area, rescue officials promptly arrived at the scene. Employing a net, they successfully extracted the boar from the well. The animal displayed some restlessness but the skilled team managed to calm and control it. A rope ladder was used as part of the rescue operation.

The leopard was then lifted out of the well. It swiftly sprinted away from the area and disappeared into the wilderness.

The entire rescue operation spanned a duration of two hours.
