The rescue team battled to save hundreds stranded in a flooded village due to the heavy rain in northern China.

The video was filmed in the city of Zhuozhou in Hebei Province on August 2.

Hundreds of villagers were stranded and desperate for aid. With 3,000 residents in the area, the lack of food and drinking water has become a grave concern.

Since the night of July 29, the village has been without water, and from the afternoon of July 31, power has been cut off. Floodwaters began to rise, swiftly engulfing the first floor of many homes, forcing villagers to seek refuge on rooftops or in the upper stories of their houses.

At its deepest, on the night of August 1, the floodwaters reached nearly 3 meters in the village. At the height of the crisis, three rescue teams prioritised the evacuation of the elderly and children from the area.

From Tangshan, the Blue Sky Rescue Team has plunged into the village to save those trapped. On the morning of August 2, as rescue workers made their way to Xitan Village by dinghy, they found themselves level with dump trucks in the deepest parts of the flood.

Fortunately, the water level is now receding, allowing some villagers to descend to the first floor to collect water, with floodwaters at chest height. Other rescue teams are on their way, according to officials in charge, providing a glimmer of hope to those still stranded.

8月2日上午，河北省涿州市桃园区西坛村，来自唐山的蓝天救援队深入村庄营救被困村民。
西坛村大约3000人，目前滞留上百人，缺少饮用水及食物。据了解，该地自7月29日晚开始断水，7月31日下午开始断电。洪水水位开始上涨后，村民房屋一楼就已漫水淹没，大部分村民目前只能在房顶或房屋二、三层进行避难。
8月1日晚，西坛村中水势最深时达到3米左右。在水势最大时，已有三艘救援队伍的船只优先将村中部分老人和孩子转移出去。
8月2日早上，救援人员乘坐冲锋舟前往西坛村时，水势最深处与渣土车齐平。目前，水势正在下降，已有部分村民下到一层屋中取水，水势处于村民胸口位置。据相关负责人介绍，其他救援队伍正在赶来的路上。
