Car plunges from collapsed bridge amid torrential rain in northern China
A car plunged from a collapsed bridge due to torrential rain in northern China.
The shocking dashcam footage, filmed in the city of Harbin in Heilongjiang Province on August 3, shows a white car plunged off a collapsed bridge into the raging waters below.
Immediately after, the white car's driver was miraculously rescued by people at the scene. Further videos revealed that not one but two vehicles had fallen, with their bodies continuously swept away by the rushing river.
Emergency response measures have been put into place, and the affected road section is now under strict bi-directional control.
Vehicles passing through this stretch are required to exit the expressway and take detours. Traffic police and road administration departments are urgently handling the situation on the scene.
As of now, there have been no reports of casualties, but the situation remains tense. The relevant departments are actively engaged in rescue operations, ensuring the safety of those affected and controlling the scene.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
