GoPro footage of damage done to a Lake District road by record UK rainfall

The Environment Agency declared a new rainfall record today. 405mm of rain fell at Thirlmere in 38 hours to 0800 on 6.12.15. The footage is of the A591 near Thirlmere.

With over a month of rain falling overnight, rivers draining some of the Lake Districts highest fells smashed though walls and dumped thousands of tons of debris onto the A591 - the main North South road in the Lake District.
