Russia has claimed that its artillery has destroyed Ukrainian military positions in Lyman's direction as these images purport to show.

The footage shows Russian soldiers loading the 152-mm projectiles into the barrel of the self-propelled artillery installation 'Hyacinth-S', and then firing at the unseen targets.

The footage then cuts and shows allegedly Ukrainian military positions being hit.

The images were obtained from the Russian Ministry of Defence on Thursday, September 7, along with a statement saying: 'Crews of self-propelled guns 'Hyacinth-S' of the Guards Artillery Regiment of the Central Military District destroyed the stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and gun mounts of Western production in the Krasnolimansky direction.

'Servicemen of the crews of the 152-mm self-propelled artillery installations 'Hyacinth-S' of the Guards Artillery Regiment of the Central Military District destroyed the stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a mortar crew, as well as Western-made artillery installations.

'Artillerymen of the group, in cooperation with the crews of unmanned aerial vehicles, inflict fire damage on enemy targets around the clock.

'Correction of the accuracy of gun fire occurs in real-time, which makes it possible to destroy artillery crews of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and enemy ammunition storage sites with a minimum number of shots.'

'On account of the soldiers-artillerymen of the Central Military District, Western-made artillery systems, such as M-777 howitzers, 155-mm AHS Krab self-propelled guns and a number of other foreign weapons.'

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.
