On the morning of April 10th, at the Huangshan North Railway Station, an 82-year-old individual accidentally fell while riding the escalator from the first floor to the second floor. In a critical moment, an on-duty police officer swiftly pressed the emergency stop button, rescuing the elderly person.

Surveillance footage revealed that the elderly person was tripped by a piece of luggage dropped by a previous passenger. Since the escalator was still in operation, the elderly person was unable to stand up immediately, making the situation extremely precarious. Three police officers rushed forward, pressed the emergency stop button, and rescued and assisted the elderly person.

It was during a peak period of passenger boarding, with the station crowded with people. Fortunately, the rescue was timely, taking only five or six seconds from start to finish.

The fallen tourist, Ms. Li Shuyuan, is from Liaoning Province and is 82 years old. This is her second visit to Huangshan. Thanks to the timely rescue, she suffered no serious injuries and, after a brief rest, successfully continued her journey with her family to the next destination.
