A true blast from the past today as Bristol Airport celebrated it's 60th Birthday in style, with the surprise arrival of this beautiful Douglas C-47A Skytrain (DC-3) - one of the first commercial planes used at Bristol Airport some 60 years ago.

It arrived at around 9am this morning (3rd May 2017), and was estimated out at 17:45pm. I managed to get up to the airport to film the departure, and boy am I glad I made the trip! The sound, the low climb rate, the super early left turn, everything made it worth it.
