ARCHIVE ARCHIVE ARCHIVE: This wild monitor lizard went for a dip in a swimming pool in Singapore.

The reptile walked into the long narrow pool while staff were cleaning the Jurong East Swimming Complex.

Staff caught the lizard and released it back into the wild and then cleaned the pool again after the incident on February 13.

Manager Ramasess Ramakrishnan said: ''We assure everyone that their safety is our top priority and the hygiene level at our pools strictly adhere to the required standards.''
