A fatigued driver lost control of his pickup truck in southwest China
A pickup truck skid and rolled over in a tunnel in SW China. The truck slid nearly 100 meters as sparks flew everywhere. Thanks to the seatbelts, the two passengers inside the car were slightly injured and managed to get out of the car and call the police. The accident is said to have been caused by the driver's fatigue driving.
12月17日凌晨4点35分，在独平高速公路拉海隧道内发生了一起交通事故。通过隧道内的监控摄像可以看到，一辆皮卡车在高速行驶过程中突然打滑。
皮卡车侧翻后，车身与路面摩擦，火星四溅，滑行近百米后，撞到另一边道牙才停了下来，一时间隧道内浓烟四起。大约4分钟后，车上的两人才爬出车外，并拨打电话报警。
凌晨4点58分，黔南高速交警三大队的民警赶到现场看到，发生侧翻的皮卡车车身受损严重。
询问中民警了解到，当天凌晨驾驶员刘某由于起得太早，还处于迷糊状态。当他驾驶车辆进入隧道后，突然一走神，加上车速太快，自己又操作失误，就引发了交通事故，幸好当时他和随车人员都系了安全带，因此受伤并不严重。随后，民警与高速应急人员取得联系，将皮卡车拖离了现场。目前该起事故正在进一步的处理当中。
