Buy video

Students who survived the tragic shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, led a gun control rally that drew thousands to city hall plaza in Delray Beach, Florida. The students recounted the horrors of the day 17 students and adults were murdered by a gunman toting a high-powered AR-15 assault rifle. The students said they are committed to bringing all, regardless of political affiliation, together to institute sensible gun control reforms that will make the country safer.

Also appearing in this video are Delray Beach Mayor Cary Glickstein and US Representative Lois Frankel.

The Rally to End Gun Violence in America -- the event has a Facebook page -- was organized by several social and political action groups. They want: 1) Strict gun regulations and an assault weapons ban; 2) Background checks and restricted access to ammunition; and 3) For Florida's Student Governments to organize a National Student Strike/Walkout to demand that the government protect them and keep them safe (without arming our schools). Marches are planned for March 24, 2018.
