As a field ranger there are some times days or even weeks that go by without any tourists. These times are spend on necessary tasks and errands that’s needed for living in the bush. Most of these times are spend alone out in the bush every day. With a little boredom or loneliness kicking in once in a while we tend to come up with very creative activities to entertain ourselves and have a little bit of fun. This video shows one of those slightly daring and challenging stunts with a safari vehicle while out alone. The guide drives along a dry river bed and suddenly jumps out of the vehicle while it is still moving. Amazingly the vehicle just continues to drive and stays on track. Then suddenly from the left hand side the man jumps onto the seat at the front of the vehicle. He enjoys a short ‘self-drive’ safari on the front seat from where he disappears again to come around and back onto the driver seat again. I don’t recommend anyone trying this at home.
