Chinese woman swallowed up by sinkhole while walking along pavement
This is the terrifying moment a woman fell into a sinkhole that suddenly opened up beneath her feet in northwestern China.
In the CCTV video, captured in Lanzhou City in Gansu Province last Sunday (November 11), a busy sidewalk suddenly collapses underneath a woman walking by, completely swallowing her up.
According to reports, the woman was rescued and sent to hospital. Her ribs were broken but her life was in no danger.
The case was being investigated by authorities.
